PROJEC T JUBILEE BURGESS SIGNS LARGEST EVER YACHT TO BE BUILT IN HOLLAND Exciting times lie ahead as Burgess announces the construction of the largest private motor yacht ever to be built in Holland. At 110 metres (that’s over 360 feet) and approximately 4,200 gross tons, the yacht code-named “Project Jubilee” is under construction at Oceanco, with the Burgess Technical Consultancy Services team engaged as technical consultants and owner’s representatives. “Project Jubilee” remains under wraps at the time of writing, but there are clues to the ambition, scale and visual impact of the concept in the appointment of Igor Lobanov as exterior designer and Sam Sorgiovanni for the interior – both designers are renowned for being dramatic, stylish and highly original. “Project Jubilee” is the second new construction project over 100 metres to be signed by Burgess in the last 12 months, and is the latest of two Passenger Yacht Code-compliant megayachts currently in build with two others under development, proving that these highly qualified technical managers, marine engineers and naval architects remain the industry’s go-to team. The Burgess technical team represents the interests of owners throughout the complex yacht construction process, from first concept to maiden voyage. ” In fact, Burgess Technical Services Consultancy has successfully project-managed the construction of more superyachts from 40 metres to over 140 metres than any other yachting company. The portfolio includes many of the most significant deliveries in the world, including Al Mirqab (133m), Dilbar (110m), Sunrays (85m), Amevi (80m) and Baton Rouge (62.5m). Burgess has co-operated closely with Oceanco over the past decade and is delighted to be working with this world-class shipyard on such a ground-breaking project, which is due for delivery in 2016.
