At 92m and with an enormous 2,980GT volume, AQUARIUS could have strayed into the realms of extremes, but as her designers Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design describes, “The design philosophy behind the yacht is all about restraint.” The brief for the yacht was clear from the outset:, she would be balanced, elegant and have a timeless design. Sinot continued, “It’s very easy to go crazy on the looks. Creating timeless, almost subtle luxury with great balance between the exterior and interior is much more diicult.”
Timeless, of course, is diferent from being content to blend into the background. Huge windows framing the six large VIP cabins on the main deck and the copious use of glass around the multi-level superstructure are sure to help her stand out in a ield of wild designs.
This use of glazing deines her exterior proile and speaks to Sinot’s holistic approach to design. “The strong balance between inside and out are one of the quintessential elements which we have brought to the yacht,” the Sinot team says of its inluence on the project. “Large guest windows connect the interior seamlessly, allowing the opportunity to capture the beautiful views outside.”
Not only architecturally captivating on the outside, glass is used artfully inside as well, as those who step on board will see in the grand atrium-style spiral staircase foyer.
