to cruise in high latitude conditions. Custom designed rudders act as “ice knives” and can withstand going full astern through 1m of brash ice.

double the standard number
of frames (at 275mm spacing) so that in the event of being caught in pack ice, she is better equipped to resist the immense compression forces encountered in extreme latitudes.
